The All-In-One Protector for Your Ornamental Garden
The Struggle of the Ornamental Gardener is the struggle and frustration of balancing beautiful blooms with the persistent threat of pests and fungi.
What is Lost Coast Plant Therapy.

We take pride in what we leave out as much as what we put in. Our formula is created with highly effective ingredients, ensuring it’s safe for your plants, pets, and family when used as directed. Here’s why gardeners love Lost Coast Plant Therapy:
Biodegradable: All ingredients break down naturally, leaving no harmful residues behind.
Gentle yet powerful: When used as directed, safe for use on edible plants, so you can enjoy your harvest with confidence.
Eco-Friendly: Our ingredients work in harmony with beneficial insects like bees and parasitic wasps, keeping your garden’s ecosystem balanced.
What We Avoid:
Unlike many other soaps, we never use sodium lauryl or laureth sulfate two common but harsh ingredients.
Active Ingredients
Soy Oil
Type: Food grade, organic, and non-GMO
What it Does: Soy oil coats pests, suffocating them on contact—a natural, plant-derived method that doesn’t allow bugs to develop resistance. This ensures sustainable pest control while being completely safe for your garden ecosystem when used as directed.
Peppermint Essential Oil
Type: Organic and food grade (never synthetic)
What it Does: Peppermint oil naturally repels pests with its fresh scent, deterring them from returning while promoting a clean, healthy garden. It’s a natural, aromatic alternative to synthetic repellents that also adds a refreshing boost to your plants.
Citric Acid
Type: Organic, plant-derived from Cassava root, food grade
What it Does: Citric acid adjusts the pH of plant surfaces, making them inhospitable for powdery mildew and fungal spores, while also serving as a natural preservative to stabilize the formula. It’s an effective, natural way to combat fungal issues and promote a balanced garden environment.
Control Pests and Diseases on Contact.
After saturation of entire plant, the spray will adhere to the target insect, egg case or larvae.
It's active ingredients then cause disruption of respiration and digestion. It also penetrates to dehydrate their entire body.
The spray alters the pH of plant surfaces, making them inhospitable for fungi and spores to thrive, while washing away existing infestations on contact.
Lost Coast is a 3 in 1 organic and biodegradable solution (insecticide, fungicide, and soft-body pest killer) that uses plant-based ingredients like soy oil and peppermint oil.
Rhododendrons & Azaleas:

All our Rhododendrons and Azaleas had Thrips. We have too many photos to be able to post them all.
This is an image from my business partners garden between late autumn and this summer.
I have a Rhododendron that had two sprays and there were no signs of Mites for over 18 months before I resprayed it.
Wherever we have had Mite infestation Lost Coast has resolved the issue within 10 days and the increased acidity on the leaves have prevented recurrence for many months.
Roses: Aphid-Free Blooms & Fungal Prevention

I began using 10mls/litre on the roses from the first signs of growth. The first growth was perfect no aphids and no powdery mildew.
Unfortunately, at about 6 week we did get blackspot. Lost Coast did not cure Blackspot. While not a "cure" for existing black spot, it alters the leaf pH to make it inhospitable for new fungal spores to take hold and using 20mls per litre the new growth remains free of this disease.
The photos illustrate the effectiveness of the spray. On a Saturday I noticed the aphids seen on this image. I used one spray of Lost Coast and by Monday morning you can barely see any aphids.
- Lost Coast provides a "Clean" Solution: Since LCPT evaporates quickly, it won't leave oily spots on rose petals.
Buxus Protecting the Structure

To get rid of the Buxus blight I used 20mls/ per litre. Since then, I have used 10mls/litre as a preventative wash to keep Buxus Blight spores from spreading through the tight foliage. And changing th pH so the spores cant regenerate.
Use one spray for all the small insects and fungi.
How to Apply Like a Pro

We always recommend applying Lost Coast Plant Therapy in the early morning or late evening. This avoids direct sunlight, which can cause leaf burn when oil-based sprays sit on warm leaves. Cooler hours also allow more time for the formula to settle, giving the active ingredients a chance to work before the day’s heat evaporates them.
Shake your spray bottle or pump sprayer often to keep the ingredients evenly mixed, plant oils and soaps naturally separate over time. When applying, coat every surface of the plant thoroughly, especially the undersides of leaves where soft-bodied insects hide and lay eggs. Think of it as a leaf bath rather than a light misting. When done right, your plants will look freshly cleaned, not drenched.
Frequency: Once a fortnight for prevention; every other day for active infestations
